Whilst the practice is regulated by The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants to give investment advice, the burden of compliance with the FSA regulations is so onerous as to make it impractical for our practice to make giving investment advice viable. Therefore, we recommend certain IFAs (Independent Financial Advisors) who we trust and who specialise in the various areas of pensions, life insurance, investments etc. These IFAs work within the FSAs compliance rules all the time and our clients have the comfort of knowing that not only is the investment advice they receive properly regulated advice from a `recommended’ individual, but that the IFA will consult us, the accountant, for our opinion on their recommendations. We believe this system offers double protection and peace of mind to our clients.
